One week from today!
One week to go.
Sage will turn eight while hiking the Camino, so we celebrated early (I don't want to lug a cake in my backpack!).
Still playing with this iPad. Can't seem to post the photos wherever I want within my blog. The app is not the same as the laptop version, so I suppose my posts might look a bit choppy until I get through the learning curve.
There has been a record amount of snowfall in Roncesvalles lately. The entire Camino is currently impassable all the way to Zubiri. Pilgrims are being told to walk the plowed highway instead of the snowed-under Way...if this remains the case next week, then we'll start at Pamplona instead of SJPP and extend our Camino to Fisterra instead of ending at Santiago.
Hope to soon figure out how to post pictures exactly where I want them to go when using Blogger on iPad instead of laptop.

Thank, Marcy!
Carole, it would be very nice to meet you and Doug! You must be excited, the time is drawing near!
Happy Pre-Birthday, Sage!
It's getting so close now, you must be super excited. I hope the snow melts enough that you won't have to miss too much of your planned journey.
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us, I have been reading for a couple of months now and am SO envious. We have two young sons and hope to start them hiking this summer. They are fascinated with your photos. We are very excited for you and wish you a safe and wonderful journey.
Jennifer and Heather, thank you!
Jennifer, we're going to start from SJPP as planned. The weather will be "interesting," but at least we'll get to see most of the sights we wanted to see. We'll likely go the Valcarlos route. :)
Heather, please tell your two boys we said hello and that we hope to meet them on the trails one day!
